Hollywood drive (Dublin 14)

Here are some images from a 3d model for our new project in Dublin 14. The challenge in this project was to consolidate the main house and subsequent additions, which looked quite chaotic, into one harmonious unit.

We have met our clients early this week and they are delighted. At the moment we are working on a few adjustments so we can get it ready for planning very soon.

New House at Bayview Drive, Killiney (Co. Dublin )

Works approaching  completed for this new semi-detached two-storey dwelling at Killiney. The proposed form of construction was taken as masonry cavity wall. The floor comprises a ground supported concrete floor slab with a cut timber roof structure.

Updating from Bayview Drive, Killiney

We are working on site a new house Killiney. The nicer feature in this project is the big open space to the garden at ground floor with a curve canopy finished on Zinc. The site is looking tidy and clean,  working with Dalvac Systems have been a pleasure so far.  We are finishing the electrical works and now hoping to pour the concrete this week so we could move to floors and into the next step: install the kitchen and the utility...looking forward to it! The internal space of living room and cooking/dining area is really spacious, illuminated with a big roof light 1x2m and these big floor to ceiling windows provided by Rationel.

Extension and refurbishment at Ashlawn, Ballinteer.

The job is almost finished now and it is looking really good. This is only one of many different projects which have been successfully completed in the last few months by DC Architects...more pictures coming soon !.

Planning Granted for new house in the Arigna Valley

Really pleased to have been granted Planning Permission by Roscommon County Council for a new house for R & B in the beautiful Valley .

The house is in the form of a cluster of vernacular cottage type buildings with a large open living area to the rear with large amounts of glazing extending to the views beyond .

The buildings are connected together with a combination of flat roof and glazed components .

The house is for 2 very good friends of mine who intend to relocate to the Valley on a full time basis  having lived there on a part time basis for the last 10 years .

It took a number of applications to succeed  with the ground conditions being the main difficulty . Trial holes were then dug all over the 2 acre site to find suitable ground and extensive design of a system which could process the entire valley will be installed .

We look forward very much to building this house as it is in such a unique location and have very enthusiastic and solid clients
